Gabe Cooper hates reporters and will under no circumstances fall for one especially when it is a stubborn, beautiful and sexy one as Peyton Michaels. All his life he has worked in rescuing people from the flames, risking his own life in the process. Yet when it comes to Peyton he is starting to realize he wants more than just bringing down a fire. For once in his life he is confused about what he wants in life. He knows something is up besides a job for Peyton and he’s determined to find out the real reason behind this topic. Fighting fires is not easy and he admires Peyton that she does not cower away when she fights her first fire. Can he make Peyton see that it is more than fire between them?

Wow I had no idea how sexy and risk takers smoke jumpers are until I read an M.J. Fredrick book. Where this author got her research is beyond me but she is talented when it comes to storytelling. Gabe is definitely a macho, military type of guy always taking risks never backing down even if it his own life at risk. Now Peyton she is definitely a good match for Gabe. These two hate each other yet when it is just them wow the passion. There is definitely a great deal of story behind them from betrayal, suspense and oh yes the hot passion between. Great read and can’t wait for more from this author.
